Baccharis trimera, known in Uruguay as “carqueja”, has been popularly used to treat liver diseases, rheumatism, diabetes, as well as digestive, hepatic and renal disorders. The essential oil of this plant has a lot of therapeutical applications attributed to carquejol and carquejile acetate.
Baccharis trimera, conocida en Uruguay como “carqueja”, ha sido popularmente utilizada para el tratamiento de enfermedades renales, hepáticas, reumatismo, así como de los desórdenes relacionados con estos órganos. El aceite esencial de esta planta posee propiedades terapéuticas atribuídas al carquejol y el acetato de carquejilo.
